Affected Regions and Shipping Restrictions(1) Middle EastCurrently, shipment capacity to the Middle East is restricted. Delivery may be delayed or even suspended due to local conditions and security concerns. Affected countries include:United Arab Emirates, Israel, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Bahrain, Jordan, and Lebanon.(2) Europe and Africa (Surrounding Regions)Due to spillover effects from the Middle East situation, both air and sea transportation to and from Europe and Africa are experiencing significant congestion. Vessel rerouting and frequent flight adjustments are causing substantial delivery delays. The exact delay duration may vary depending on how the situation develops.(3) Shipments to JapanMail and parcels sent from the above-mentioned regions (Middle East, Europe, and Africa) to Japan may also experience delays. We kindly ask for your understanding in advance.2. Return Shipments and Shipping Fees(1) Customer DiscretionFor shipments to the affected regions, the decision to proceed is entirely at the customer’s discretion. Please make your choice based on your own needs.(2) Return PolicyIf a shipment cannot be delivered due to local conditions or further escalation of the situation and must be returned to Japan, we will provide a full refund of the shipping fee.Additionally, depending on how the situation evolves, shipments that have been accepted but not yet delivered may also be returned. We will keep you promptly informed of any updates. 

Starting from January 1, 2026, DHL will implement updates to official specifications and pricing: ① Price Adjustments 1.Overweight Piece Surcharge For packages exceeding 70 kg (actual or volumetric weight):Increased from:JPY 15,000 per pieceto:JPY 17,000 per piece 2.Remote Area Delivery / Pickup Surcharge Changed from:Minimum JPY 3,500 per shipment or JPY 80/kgto:Minimum JPY 4,000 per shipment or JPY 80/kg  3.Address Correction Fee Increased from:JPY 1,700 per pieceto:JPY 1,800 per piece ② Standard Adjustments Oversize Dimension Rules In addition to packages with any side exceeding 100 cm, DHL adds a new rule:Second-longest side exceeding 80 cm Packages that meet either of the following will incur the oversize surcharge:Any side > 100 cmSecond-longest side > 80 cmSurcharge remains JPY 3,300 per piece. ③ New Surcharge Special Handling Fee for Non-Standard Shipments Applicable to shipments exceeding 25 kg but not more than 70 kg, or items that cannot be processed via conveyor.A package will incur this fee if it meets any of the following conditions: 1.Actual weight exceeds 25 kg (volumetric weight not considered) but does not exceed 70 kg2.Items partially or fully exposed outside packaging3.Non-cardboard packaging (metal, wood, leather, rigid/soft plastic, EPS foam, etc.)4.Items wrapped in shrink wrap, cling film, or stretch film5.Items equipped with wheels, handles, or straps Surcharge: JPY 3,300 per piece Note: If a package already incurs overweight or oversize surcharges, the special handling fee will not be charged.Additionally, items reinforced with our website's waterproof film may be charged this fee by DHL. ④ High-Risk Area Delivery Surcharge For shipments to Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Haiti, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Yemen: Increased from:JPY 4,500 per shipment to:JPY 5,000 per shipment  ⑤ Embargoed/Restricted Destination Surcharge For shipments to Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Libya, Somalia, and Yemen: Increased from:JPY 4,500 per shipment to:JPY 5,000 per shipment⑥International Shipping Fee AdjustmentShipping rates to the United States, Mexico, and Canada have been updated.Please check the latest pricing using the Shipping Calculator. Please note that the price adjustment for DHL takes effect based on the time when the value-added service is completed and the fee is calculated, not the order placement time. For details, please check DHL official website:https://mydhl.express.dhl/jp/ja/ship/surcharges.html#/exceptional_activities 

Please be advised that according to the latest notification from DHL, due to the impact of trade policies in regions such as the United States, freight rates for the U.S. region will be adjusted in phases.Effective November 3, 2025, 01:00 (JST), DHL freight rates for Canada, United States, and Mexico regions will see a moderate increase. To ensure your shipment is delivered smoothly and efficiently via DHL, please provide a complete and accurate delivery address.   Please confirm the following contact details and address information are valid and clear:  - Include apartment/unit numbers (if the recipient lives in an apartment complex or multi-dwelling building, specify the room number/unit clearly).  - Provide accurate street information (abbreviations or vague descriptions are unavailable).  - Include the correct postal code and house number (if applicable, specify the floor and unit number).  - Do not use PO Boxes or courier pickup locations; the address must be a location where delivery can be made directly.  - Please respond promptly to the "On-Delivery Details (ODD)" notification sent by the carrier, confirming your available date and time for receipt.   Effective Monday, July 7, 2025, an additional fee of 1,700 JPY will be charged for redelivery due to incomplete or inaccurate address information. You will receive an email notification regarding this fee, which will be automatically deducted from your Rakufun account balance.

    We have received an official notification from DHL: Starting from Monday, June 30, 2025, DHL will resume all parcel delivery services to Canada.    Due to the large number of unprocessed parcels accumulated during the strike period, Canada Post will prioritize handling these backlogged items. As a result, in the initial phase, there may be some delays in the delivery of parcels to Canada.    We deeply understand that this may cause inconvenience to you and sincerely apologize for it. Thank you for your understanding and support. We will continue to monitor the situation and update you on the progress in a timely manner.

    Due to the deteriorating Middle East situation and closure of Israel's airspace, DHL has suspended all domestic operations in Israel and international air express parcel services to Israel with immediate effect. The resumption date remains undetermined and will be announced via official channels.       Order Handling:      Customers who paid for parcels to Israel via Rakufun on June 18 and whose packages remain unshipped should contact online customer service immediately for a free order cancellation. Refunds will be processed within 1-5 working days and returned to the original payment method.       We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.        Due to the strike action announced by Unifor, the Canadian union, starting at 12:00 PM (GMT-4) on June 8, DHL's domestic operations in Canada will be suspended from Friday, June 20 (local time). As a result, the following adjustments to DHL international parcel services are notified:   1. Delivery      - From Wednesday, June 18, 2025, all DHL parcel services to Canada will be suspended.      - Recovery: The resumption date is currently undetermined. We will announce updates promptly.   2. Order Handling    If you have paid for a parcel to Canada by June 17 and the status has not been updated to "Shipped," please contact customer service immediately to apply for a free order cancellation.        To provide you with better services, we will increase the shipment batches for Japan Post AIR/SEA routes starting from today. The shipment frequency will be increased from 3 times a week to 5 times a week.
